In Cambodia, locals swelter while at home we freeze, making it the perfect destination for a winter jaunt.
In particular, Brits would be well-advised to consider a trip to the coastal city of Siem Reap. The historic metropolis is ideal for nature lovers as well as those keen to learn about Cambodia’s fascinating past
Siem Reap is one of if not the tourist centre of Cambodia – and for good reason.
It boasts stunning temples, preserved historical buildings as well as lakes to frolic in and hills to hike.
In particular, visitors are drawn to the Angkor Archaeological Park where the city’s glorious Angkor Wat temple can be found.
Tourists also marvel at the Terrace of the Elephants – a 300-metre wall finished with delicate sculptures of elephants, Khmer dancers and warriors.
