Deputy tourism minister Costas Koumis is heading to Berlin for a series of contacts with members of the German industry in addition to attending the large trade fair ITB, which runs from Tuesday to Thursday.
He will meet representatives of executives of tourism organisations and airlines that operate tourism programmes and routes from Germany to Cyprus, in addition to others from important markets.
The German market is a high priority market for the deputy ministry.
Arrivals in 2024 reached 228,000, recording an increase of 8.1 per cent compared to 2023.
During his trip to Germany, Koumis has also scheduled a meeting with the newly appointed Tourism Minister of Malta, Ian Borg.
