Before filling in and submitting your Visa application, you are kindly requested to read carefully all instructions and information on documents that must be submitted, together with your application.
Please note that all documents requested are required by the European Union legislation and are mandatory. Also, any incomplete application, or an application without all required documents, will be considered inadmissible and it will be returned to the applicant.
Kindly, also be informed that, once our Embassy finds that there is any discrepancy, or any other obstacle on behalf of the applicant, violating the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, the European Union, or of the People’s Republic of China, his/her application will be rejected, as the Republic of Cyprus fully respects and abides by them.
The Diplomatic Missions of the Republic of Cyprus can issue visas only to persons who intend to visit Cyprus for holidays/leisure or business and for a period not exceeding 90 days within any 180 days.
Those intending to visit Cyprus for stays exceeding 90 days and/or for the purpose of providing paid labour or services, pursuing studies in academic institutions, working part-time (even as part of their training) or getting married, have to first obtain the relevant permit from the Ministry of Interior– Civil Registry and Migration Department and then apply for a visa at the Embassy.
All visa applicants have to personally apply for a visa at the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Beijing. A non-refundable amount of 80,00 euros for a single entry visa/ a double/multiple entry visa for ADULTS and MINORS from 12 to 18 years old, 40,00 euros for a single entry visa/a double/multiple entry visa for MINORS from 6 to 12 years old, and MINORS under 6 years old is FREE, should be paid upon submission of application. Applicants are expected to attend an interview. Processing time of application is seven (8) working days.
All visa applications must be submitted at least seven (8) working days before the visit to Cyprus.
In any case, the Authorities of the Republic of Cyprus retain the right to cancel or reduce at the points of entry the duration of stay of any visa, informing the holder of the visa accordingly.
The Diplomatic Missions of the Republic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Authorities at the points of entry, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, can only inform the applicant for the reasons of declining his/her application for a visa or the holder of the visa for the reasons leading to cancellation or decrease of the duration of stay of his/her visa, but cannot provide such information to the intended host, who can be informed by the visa applicant/holder himself/herself.
