Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that the ASEAN-Cambodia Business Summit will be a potential opportunity to enhance cooperation and strengthen the relationship between ASEAN and its global partners, of which Cambodia is the focal point.
The premier made this statement on the occasion of presiding over the official opening ceremony of the Cambodia-ASEAN Business Summit 2024 under the theme “Unleashing ASEAN’s Potential: Connectivity, Technology, and Inclusive Growth,” held at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra this morning.
Notably, the ASEAN-Cambodia Business Summit aims to promote the potential of ASEAN, with Cambodia at its core, and to bring up key topics for discussion, including ASEAN connectivity, sustainability, and ASEAN renewable energy. Cambodia is a gateway to ASEAN and the use of technology for sustainable growth.
Dr. Hun Manet considered the theme of this meeting as an important agenda in the current context and ambitious. He urged all stakeholders to take advantage of this situation to strengthen partnerships, promote technological advances, and promote a more prosperous and equitable ASEAN community.
The Prime Minister expressed his pleasure and noted that through the agenda of the summit, in-depth discussions on key issues related to the ASEAN region, he stressed that the chosen topic reflected an in-depth understanding of ASEAN guidelines, new developments, and Cambodia’s strategic location.
