Cambodia and Uruguay have discussed cooperation in the agriculture sector between the two countries, especially in research and development.
The discussion took place between Dith Tina, Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, and Valeria Csukasi Cabrera, Ambassador of the Republic of Uruguay to Cambodia, at the ministry’s office in Phnom Penh on Wednesday.
Tina briefed his guest on Cambodia’s policy related to agriculture and reaffirmed that the Kingdom is open to all investors to boost Cambodian agricultural exports to international markets.
The Minister encouraged a focus on agribusiness, mentioning many Cambodian products such as fruit and fishery that are of good quality and profitable.
He also stressed the importance of research and development, in which the two countries can cooperate in terms of experience and techniques sharing to develop agriculture and increase profitability and economic efficiency. AKP
