FreshStart Energy seeks investment opportunities in Cambodia

In the afternoon of March 2, 2024, Prime Minister Hun Manet, received Mario Vecchio, Chief Executive Officer and President of FreshStart Energy, for a courtesy call and discussion on the occasion of the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit in Melbourne, Australia.

On the occasion of the meeting, Mario Vecchio thanked PM Hun Manet for taking the time to allow him to pay a courtesy call and discuss on working. According to the result of meeting posted on PM Hun Manet telegram on March 1.

The CEO told PM Hun Manet about the business progress of FreshStart Energy, a subsidiary of FreshStart, which is currently operating in Australia and other countries such as Singapore and Thailand that used modern technology to control the use of electricity in schools, hospitals and gas stations.

He added that the company develops modern technology for efficient, high quality and economical use of electricity. The CEO expressed his intention to invest in Cambodia by bringing modern technology to manage the use of electricity.

In response, PM Hun Manet welcomed and was pleased to meet with the CEO and thanked FreshStart Energy for its intention to invest in Cambodia.

He stressed that Cambodia’s goal is not only to strengthen and expand government-to-government relations and people-to-people contacts, but also to link the private and public sectors of the two countries.

Regarding the energy sector, the Premier stressed that many countries in the regional and global framework are paying close attention to the transformation of the energy sector, and the Royal Government of Cambodia is also paying attention to the development of this energy sector.

In addition, the Prime Minister encouraged companies to visit Cambodia to explore the possibility of seeking investment opportunities in the Cambodia in collaboration with the Council for the Development of Cambodia and the Ministry of Mines and Energy, so that both institutions can facilitate and support to prepare company investment projects in Cambodia. khmertimeskh
