Revellers flocked to both sides of the Tonle Sap River in front of the Royal Palace to witness the thrilling boat races on the final day of the three-day Water Festival. Despite the scorching heat, many spectators shielded themselves with hats and umbrellas as excitement filled the air.
Authorities reported that over 1 million people attended the festival on November 15. In total, 347 boats participated in the races. The King is expected to preside over the festival’s closing ceremony this evening.
